Question Can a Homeowner Rent to Multiple Roommates

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of Texas.

I own my house in Texas and want to rent out a room (or two) to different people. Is there any law preventing me from renting out to multiple unrelated people in my own house?

I haven't started the search process because I want to get the facts first.

    Thanks,

Generally speaking, this is a zoning issue. Check with your local government about how your property is zoned, whether the zoning allows you to rent one or more rooms, and what additional regulatory requirements you must obey to have those rooms approved as lawful rental units.
