Unhappy Ex-Wife is Having Our Daughter Treated by a Psychologist

I've been divorced for over a year in Florida. Everytime I have an issue with my ex-wife like, refusal to modify our divorce decree our 5 yr old daughter acts up in school. She has repeatedly taken our daughter to be treated/tested by a psychologist that I do not approve of. This treatment is not covered under my/daughters insurance and our divorce decree requires my Ex to pay 60% of the cost. Is there anything I can do to prevent her from taking our daughter to a psychologist without my written consent?

You can attempt to have such a restriction added to the current custody agreement, but be aware that judges are often reluctant to restrict treatment that a custodial parent believes are necessary or in the best interests of the child, especially if that parent is paying more than 50% of the cost.

How often and why are you trying to convince your X to modify a divorce decree that is over a year old?

She's the one that wants the modification.

Our daughter is carried under my insurance. Am I responsible to pay for a treatment I dont agree with and a therapist I disapprove of?

If you have articulable reasons why the treatment isn't the child's best interests, or the particular therapist isn't suitable, those could be valid arguements to bring before the court. But if the custodial parent has some articulable reason to be TAKING the child for this therapy, particularly if the therapist agees that there are substantial issues, then the court is going to want more than "I don't want to pay" from you. Is the therapy some out of left field type of treatment? Does the therapist have some record that makes you weary of them or their abilities, credentials, methods, etc.?
