Default Sentencing for Accessory and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary

My question involves a crime that occurred in the state of: California

I have never been in contact with the police, (except for routine traff. stops) or been in any sort of trouble, until recently when I was arrested because two male friends decided to break into a house while I was left in their car. They fled the scene but have now been arrested.

I am being charged as an accessory and because there were three of us, it is considered conspiracy. There were also drugs in the glove box of the vehicle. Although I am not the owner, I was in the car and should have known the contents. So I have a third charge, possession of a controlled substance. (this may be dropped?) CPC : 459, 182, 11350

I am wondering what my maximum sentence would be and what time I would most likely serve... I'm going to keep the idea of MAX in my head so I'm not surprised if that is what I receive. I'm also clueless about all of this and I'm wondering if I should bring a lawyer with me to my first court date?

    PLEASE help

    Work through the sentencing guidelines.

You should be talking to your lawyer about possible plea bargains or other dispositions, and the probable sentence that will follow.
