Exclamation Father of Child is Not Providing Health Care

My question involves child support in the State of: Florida
In may 2009, my childs father was ordered to provide healthcare coverage for our daughter. Its been almost a year and he still has not done that. However, my daughter is on my healthcare plan. He says I did not give him her social security number, I know I did. My question is, Since its been a year, is he going to get in trouble for not providing healthcare since he was court ordered? Also, if my daughter were to stay on my healthcare plan, would he pay towards my cost?

What exactly does your court order say about Dad providing health care?

    I mean word for word.

I'm not sure. The judge said he was to put her on his insurance the next time enrollment came up, which was January. At the time of the court date, I did not have insurance.

Get out your court orders and check, please.

Because it could be entirely possible that Dad is required to provide coverage only if you don't have primary coverage.

I don't have them here, I will have to get them out of my storage unit tomorrow morning. What would happen if he was suppose to provide it and hasn't?

It's also entirely possible that dad only has to insure kiddo if it's available to him at low or no cost...

You could file contempt in court. He would generally be given another chance to do what it is he needs to be doing.

    What is your goal?

That, too! But I'm smelling a very familiar tale here...

Well, I pay for her insurance and her copays and deductable. What he pays in support, just barely cover food, diapers, clothes and shoes. I would like him to at least help with daycare and healthcare. HE refuses to pay at least half of her bills. Which I understand he is not obligated to do that.

He's not supposed to pay for HALF of her bills. I don't know what ever gave you the impression that he is - and if you understand that he's not obligated to do it, then what exactly is your problem?
