My question involves real estate located in the State of: Texas
My grandfather and grandmother bought this house 20 years ago knowing that the fence was about 3 feet into the neighbors property. The builder of both houses lived on this property as well. As time went by they have spent thousands of dollars beautifying this area...they assumed it was theres if it wasn't contested for 7 years.
The builder sold the house to a couple. About 5 years ago they lost the house to forclosure. A new couple moved in about a year after that...they immediately came over asking for the property back. This is after the fence being there for almost 15 years.
My grandfather died and my grandmother is going to build a new fence and wants it placed where the deeds say the boundries are. Does she have a right to keep her land after 20 years?
