Default Is a Loan for Tuition Taxable

I don't know which sub-forum to post in. Pardon my ignorance. I wish to get a loan from my dad, who is not in the states, of approx. 15000 dollars towards my tuition. Is that taxable?

Taxable to you? It shouldn't be. Taxable to him? That's going to depend upon the laws of his country.
