    Default Obstructing an Officer

My question involves criminal law for the state of: wv
I was recently arrested for obstructing an officer. I have a couple questions.

1- I moved a bandoned vehicle that was in accident near my house because I tought it could go the rest of the way over the hill before any officers were on the scene. Could that be obstructing an officer if no officer was present?

2- After I had returned to my home the police came over and asked if I moved the vehicle. I initially said no but they said someone saw me so I said noboby saw me but I di move the vehicle. So technically I lied but admitted it within a minute of saying the false statement. Is that still considered obstructing?

    1. Why would you do such a thing?

    2. I don't know of any state in which "I told the truth shortly after I lied" is enough to erase the fact that you originally lied to the police.

1 There is houses down over the hill, once a tire from my place rolled over that hill and put a hole in the house.

2...I don't know why I did it, but I agree with you.
