    Default Responsibility for a Loan

My question involves defamation in the state of: civil litigation.

I put a loan on my sister and my car. She took the car to another state and traded it in for a new car. The dealer paid off the loan. Now my sister wants to take me to court to pay her the money back. Am I liable for the loan. She started to constantly yell at me. And then put a restraining order on me to move out. That same night she when threw my property and stated to throw it out. A friend called the cops and stopped her. She then took some of my property and put it in a u haul to who knows where. She also had a cop call accusing my friend, my son and myself of stealing her jewelry, passport, SSI card and her credit cards. That wasn't all, the judge made an order for me to get my property back and on the day I was supposed to get it she had a big dumpster throwing my property in to it. And I'm sure it's not over yet. I'm counter suing her in small claims court, but I don't know what else can be done to stop her.

    1) There is no state of Civil Litigation. Laws vary by state. Which one is yours?

    2) Explain what you mean by "put a loan on my sister and my car". Who took out the loan? Who made payments? Who was named as the borrower?

I live in California, The car was in my OR her name. It was my personal loan in my name only and I made all payments no late payments with life insurance added to the loan. And yes I asked her permission. She asked for $1,000.00 out of the loan at the start.
