Does what I have described sound like a contract?
When people speak of a contract of employment in an at-will state, they are speaking of a contract which sets terms for discharge other than "at will", such as a provision which provides for termination only for good cause shown. The employment relationship is inherently contractual - an exchange of labor for pay.
So if the provisions for termination have not been met, I shouldn't have been fired, and have a case for wrongful termination? Perhaps I should attach a copy of the "contract"?
Thankyou for the "help"![]()
