My question involves criminal law for the state of: INDIANA
So today I purposefully, I will admit, rang up a more expensive food item as a cheaper one instead. It was something u had to punch in the item code for at the uscan, I punched in a hotfood item that you do weigh at the uscan as a cheaper vegetable instead. I was approached by an associate who told me my salad bar item was rung up wrong and proceeded to ring it up correctly. The difference in price was about 6$. I paid for the items and left.
I'm worried since I only had a credit card, and used my kroger card, that they are going to come after me knowing it was a deliberate act. Obviously a stupid one and one I' won't be making again, but I need to know how likely it is for them to come after me?
