My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: Washington.
I am a Canadian from BC, travelling on the highway of skagit county when I came to a two-way stop in an intersection. I stopped to wait till the car in the opposite direction went first. Then after seeing there is a safe distance between my car and the on-coiming car on my left, I made a quick left turn. After driving about a couple of blocks, a sheriff followed and wanted me to pull to the side. He said I failed to yield, while apparently, the car that was on my left was speeding. On the ticket, however, he has entered the wrong state of my vehicle. He entered "WA" instead of "BC". The vehicale license no. is correct though. Questions I have for you experts are:
1. Because of this error, can I have the ticket dismissed because of the technical error he made?
2. There was no accident. Is it possible to argue the sheriff made a wrong judgement and that he neglected to consider the speed of the on-coming car on my left?
Thank you in advance.
