My time to ask, not answer.
State: Michigan.
I have a copy of my grandmothers will. My grandfather passed on years ago. The home, etc went to grandmother. Upon her death, the homestead and personal property is supposed to be split equally between my mom and myself.
Thing is, my middle name is not spelled correctly in the will.
My mom says it is spelled correctly in the legal version. What I have is red-stamped COPY.
Will this misspelling affect things? Especially since there are other people with my same full name out there? Would I need to go to Probate Court to verify the spelling was corrected?
(2) Grandmother has been having mom withdraw money to put in a firesafe box (She is afraid of ObamaCare). Since half that money is supposed to be mine at Grandmother's Death...how do I verify the amount in it is true?
Thanks!
