Default Collection of Medical Bills, Medical Goods

My question involves collection proceedings in the State of: Iowa

I was contacted by a collection agency about medical bills for services and one bill for medical items. They did not tell me what to do if I disputed the bills, but after reading here, I think I know what to do. But what is the statute of limitations for these types of bills?

For a written contract, probably 10 years. For an oral contract, probably five.
