Yep, that's pretty much how the game is played.LP will file charges to protect there asses... They don't know if your friend will file charges or not so they may as well hit him first.
This is how the game is played, and the ball is now in LP's court.
In some states fleeing from LP is chargeable as robbery or larceny. Also getting into a scuffle could add a charge of battery. You may want to look up your state statute.![]()
PandorasBox made a great comment. If the amount was "only $30," then why didn't your friend just pay the full amount? Apparently to him, it wasn't "only $30," it was worth more than that that he was willing to risk it all. So, the "only $30" argument doesn't fly here!
