The problem is that the attorney continues to reset the final court date where the judge signs off on the paperwork. It was supposedly "final" in January, but since the judge hasn't signed the paperwork due to the attorneys lack of responsiblity keeping his appointments for court, it's really not final. My fear is that the judge will become tired of all the resets and throw it all out. My question was to find out if it is a normal occurance for attorneys to procrastinate finalizing the paperwork. Whomever reads this, please take some advice....don't pay your attorney in full before it is all said and done. I really feel that he got his thousands of dollars and really doesn't care about his client any longer. It's very frustrating.
