MIP After an Arrest Warrant

My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado

My friend had a warrant out for her arrest after she missed her court date for a previous MIP. In the next week, she will get another MIP ticket from last weekend.

Shes under 18 years old, will she go to Juvie or can she get off after she goes to court?

If she's under 18, I would expect her to have to go to juvenile court for her tickets.

As she's showing absolutely no responsibility in her actions, I can't imagine why the judge would want to give her a break. If she gets a break she should consider herself to be extremely lucky.

She probably should be let off w. probation,having a lawyer is a good idea. Not going to court for something that not really serious,can screw you up later once you get a warrant. Any police contact and they can lock you up until your court date. My friend got a ticket for an open contantier and just blew off going to court. He was stoped by the police a year later and had to say in jail over night until he went to court the next morning. He was looking at a small fine the 1st time but had to spend about 8 hrs in jail.
