    Default State Waiting Period

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Minnesota

I was told by my lawyer after I have his fees paid it would take 90 to 120 days before they could get the bankrupcy filed? Is this a state law? Or are they just putting me off longer then needed?

That may be based upon your need to establish residency in the state. It may be based upon your spending up to the date you contacted your lawyer. It may be so that you can undergo required credit counseling.
