Default Discovery in Small Claims Court

My question involves a small claims court where discovery is not allowed. Can I use motions to show cause in lieu of discovery? Could I file a motion to show cause (for instance) why plaintiff should not be required to produce the original note or show cause why plaintiff should not be required to produce accounting documentation showing how the amount claimed was calculated. Or any other discovery evidence I might wish the plaintiff to produce?

Default Re: Discovery in Small Claims Court

A motion to show cause relates to a party's alleged violation of a court order. It is not a tool for discovery.
