My question involves criminal law for the state of: Ann Arbor, Michigan
My friend and I thought it would be a brilliant idea to acquire some alcohol...
We got apprehended outside the store, brought back into the store, backroom, told to get up against the wall, was searched, questioned for about 2 hours, called police, was cuffed and brought to the county office, then was booked, and let go.
What will happen? I'm 17, in my senior year, already got into colleges(no ivys)......, my friend is 19, in college....
The total was around $203 of alcohol. just barely over 200....
My family can NOT afford a decent lawyer, as over the course of the case it might cost a few thousand to 10k? What will happen?
This is a first time offense... I heard there is a special thing for people between 17 and 21 who have first time offenses where you go on probation for a year or more and then it gets wiped clean from your record, is that true?
I am just really clueless right now, my entire life is screwed now, and basically I see no point in trying any more as everything is wasted now unless I can get this thing removed.
(please don't patronize me, that is what everyone does, I know i'm screwed)
thanks in advance
