My question involves alienation of affection law for the State of: Mississippi
What began as a friendship took a turn recently into love. The other individual lives in Mississippi which has the Alienation of Affection law and I live in a state that does not. We met once (not in Mississippi) and were physical. Both of us are married and have no desire to leave our situation because we are both in good marriages and love our spouses. I believe it is possible to love more than one person at a time. My question is, in the event my friend’s spouse were to find out about us could I be sued for Alienation of Affection? It is legal in my friend’s state but not in mine so I’m not sure if it would be enforceable for me. Thanks
