Caught Shoplifting in Texas

My question involves civil rights in the State of: texas..
i was caught shoplifting in dallas texas, i was caught with a 20 dollar movie, i was taken into the asset office, they did took a picture, they were calm and never called the cops. they didnt mentioned anything about me not going back to the store. but i was wondering if you could help determined how much i will get fine.

my brother was the one trying to steal the movie that was worth only 20 dollars, he did not had proper identification and he is only 20yrs old. i took full responsibility of the situation and now i do not know what to do. i need help please... i am 22 years old. how will this affect my credit.
