    Default Traffic School Eligibility

I had already attended traffic school for a previous case about 17 months ago. So I interpret that I should not be eligible for this new case. However, is it possible to still ask for traffic school before the judge and have the case dismissed? Thanks

    Default Re: Traffic School Eligibility

    Short answer: No!

Long answer... Some courts will allow you a 2nd offender traffic school which differs from the 1st level in that the violation is still reported to the DMV (and will appear on your record) as a zero point violation. Whether that will still have an impact on your insurance premium will depend on your insurer.

Also, the 2nd offender traffic school is a 12 hours class (versus 8 hrs for the 1st AND it must be taken in a classroom setting (i.e. it cannot be completed online).
