    Default Repo-Men Shut Off Electricity

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Indiana

As the title says I was at home and a car that my mother was leasing was due to be repossessed. She was not home at the time but I was and I knew why they where there but I had no want to talk to these men as I'm underage.

The men knocked on the door for about an hour then decided they would flush me out with turning off my electricity with no help from the power company.

I know my mother is in the wrong as far as the repossession goes but do these men have the right to tamper with my electricity?

    Thank you for any help.

Call the police, AND the power company. These repo men do NOT have the authority to mess with the power.

Thank you for the fast reply.

At first I thought it may be from a non-paid bill but then I peeked outside and there was no nipsco truck and the timing was way too suspect. I will be taking legal action against them. I did not see them do this however is there some way of proveing what happened or would it just be my word against theirs?

You didn't see a repo man, nobody entered your premises, the power went out for a bit, the power came back on, you didn't see anybody tamper with power lines....

Maybe you had a momentary blackout, and are being paranoid.

No, I saw the repo-men with the tow truck in front of the house at the same time I was looking for the power compnaies truck. They where knocking on the door but I did not want to talk to them without my mom preasent. I suppose it could have been a momentary black out it just seemed a little sketchy to me.
