Question Can I Be Forced to Go to Mediation

I have been divorced for over a year. In my Parenting Plan/Mediated Settlement Agreement, I make a monthly contribution to my daughters private schooling of $300 and she is to contribute 50% of the insurance premiums i pay for our daughter. In addition, it states any disputes that can not be addressed by my ex-wife and myself must go before a mediator. Well, she apparently wants more money for schooling as our daughter is now going into kindergarten. I say apparently because, i have asked her to modify the PP/MSA for my consideration and review, and she instead has hired another lawyer to try and force me to go to mediation. on a side note, I directly pay the school my dayghter is attending and have never been late. She is 2 months behind on her insurance payments to me and is refusing to pay again. I can't afford a lawyer, let alone mediation for hours with trying to get more money out of me. Can she force me to go to mediation?

If your agreement says you must use a mediator, then that's what you're going to have to do. She may be able to compel you via the courts.

i guess i knew the answer ... if the paties can not agree then they must go to mediation. unfortunately, if we do go to mediation it will be short, because I can not afford to pay any aditional amount of $.
