    Exclamation Where I Can Live

I'm a 16 year old living in the state of Florida.

My parents are getting a divorce. My mom moved out and has her own place across town. my dad was able to keep the house. so then my dad got a job 10 hours away. i have to decide weather i want to stay here with my mom or move with my dad. i don't like my mom at all. but my dad is going keep the house and let my 19 year old sister live here by her self, he is going to pay all the bills. we have talked about me staying here with her, is that illegal? would it be abandonment? he would be back down every other weekended and my mom live less than 5 min away. would my dad get in trouble for leaving me here?

So if someone could help me, that would be nice.

Default Re: Where I Can Live

If your parents agree to allow you to live with your 19 year old sister, they can legally do so. So long as there is reasonable arrangement that you are being provided food, shelter, have access to necessary medical care, etc., it's not abandomment - dad can be a provider even if not living under the same roof.
