    Default Conflict of Interest by Opposing Party's Lawyer

    My question involves malpractice by a lawyer in the state of: South Carolina. Plantiff represented by counsel that also serves as city judge. Mayor of city and chief of police are Plantiff's brothers. Matters to be heard are in family court. Would this be unlawful and what remedy plausible? My attorney finds my claims without merit and he got big silver tray to hand me over on. I wish to fire attorney and ask for dismissal from judge time is of the essence?

    How would any of that create a conflict of interest? You think a lawyer isn't allowed to practice law if he's related to a political leader or police official?
