My question involves criminal law for the state of: Florida
I was arrested back in December on a VOP for failing a UA. I am currently waitng on my arraignment court date and in the meantime I am required to continue reporting to my PO.
So, I went in and reported this month and I guess he wanted to drug test me but forgot to so he called me this morning and asked me to come back in. Well, I am on felony probation for driving without a license and was not able to get a ride back up there so he is ammending my violation to include something like not following the rules and doing what is asked of me by my PO.
Does anyone know if an ammendment to a violation requires me to get re-arrested like a regular VOP or is it just going to be added on to my information and discussed when I go to court for my original VOP.
Any information anyone could give me on this would be extremely helpful as I am unable to reach my probation officer right now to get an answer as to what exactly the initial consequence of an ammendement to a violation is.
Thank you!
