My question involves grandparents rights in the State of: MI
We were awarded visitation Rights in 3/2009 in Indiana, that is where the child resided at the time.
The mother took the child out of state( to MI) immediatley after signing the Judgement.
Since it was established we had a very strong case to see the child, and she is avoiding any contact with us to make arrangments to visit.
We have spent thousands on this case, and we could refile for contempt, and re-modification of the Judgement, but now my husband is unemployed.
Can we fly to Michigan, and have the sheriff help us see our grandchild?
It has been over 3 years now that we have had any contact. She moves him constantly, our son, the father is not active in the child's life and our son lives in another state.
How do we avoid upsetting the child, but enforcing our legal right to see him????
Thank You~
The Final Straw
