Default Possible to drop theft 3 misdemeanor charge to infraction?

Hi, as the subject suggest, I was wondering if it is possible for the courts in WA state to drop a theft 3 misdemeanor charge to a theft infraction?

Does such infraction exist in WA state?

And also, is the theft 3 charge a gross misdemeanor or a normal misdemeanor?

Not that I have found; but I can't rule out the possibility.

    It's a gross misdemeanor.
