I recently worked for a company that was going through finacial problems. They stated we were no longer allowed to recieve overtime for any hours over 40 hours per week because they could not afford to pay us. However they could pay us all of the hours we wanted if we agreed to work for straight pay. A lot of the workers didn't agree. We work in an group home, if our relief does not show we are forced to work the next shift. Is this legal if we did not sign anything to agree to working for straight pay? Is my employer allowed to rewrite labor laws.
