Back in 1977 my husband was injuried on the job while working for a construction company. Knee was broken. Which he had surgury on. Then after breaking it again while raceing motorcycles for the same construction company. Had surgury on his knee and ankle. When he went back to work. They said their W/C insurance carrier
would not cover him so the fired him. Around 1979 he won a law suit against the construction company. Instead of getting the money he opted for Life time medical and retraining compensation for the future. Well since then his paper work was burn in a fire.
And of course he has been having trouble working due to the pain and swelling. We have contacted the Workman Compensation office and they tell us they distoried their records for those years. And have it on an index card in their achive. But there are no records. We have contact the Attorney that handled the case and they also tell us they distoried their records for those years.
We having been trying for the last year to get some kind of info on what we should do next. We have little money for legal help. Since it been a year that he has not work. ANY information would be a great help.
