Default Not on the Mortgage, on the Deed

My question involves divorce in the State of: CT

I am not on the mortgage, but I am on the deed. My soon to be ex is basically not paying the mortgage and threatening to have me sink with the ship - the house is "under water" thanks to a re-valuation in our town. Will a Quitclaim Deed help indemnify me from liability related to the property? I want nothing to do with it.

    Thanks!

You mean if there's a foreclosure? You may be able to get dropped from the foreclosure case by quitclaiming your interest to the lender.

Aren't you going to surrender your interest in the property to your ex- as part of the divorce case?
