Default Neighbor Taking Pictures of Children

My neighbor took pictures of my daughter walking home and claiming that she broke the neighborhood gate to our gated community. The pictures only show my daughter walking home and she has never been involved in the destruction of property. My question is: Is it legal for my neighbor to take pictures of my daughter? Because I find it uncomfortable for her to do so.

Yes, it's legal for people to take pictures of other people in public places.

Even the police? (as long as you're not interferring) what about taking pictures of buildings? like in DC or Philly, tourist places with historical significance? I saw a video on YT I think, this guy was taking pictures of one of the federal buildings in DC, from the sidewalk, and guards came out and told him to stop, asking him for ID and what he was doing there, finally threatening to arrest him if he didn't leave

I don't see how that has any relation to this thread. If it does not, you should start your own thread.

I can see where NCC 1701 coming from....

I don't know what laws it falls under. Detroit Opera House, for example, is deemed "Historical" in some way, and you cannot even take a photo inside the lobby, not even with a cell phone camera.

It's not germane to the question at hand, which was if it is legal for your neighbor to take pictures of your kids when they're out in public. It is.

How old is the daughter? It is a slippery slope to engage in such conduct that serves no lawful purpose. My state disorderly conduct law states an act can be such that annoys a person that serves no lawful purpose?

If the conduct is repetitive he is really crossing a line of law and Tort!

That is purely a business decision, they can or can not permit it, thier choice.

Well I apologize mr knowitall I didn't mean to step on a corn, I didn't want to start another thread and have someone think I'm "flooding" the board, and since my inquiry regarded taking photos in a public place, like the OP's inquiry, I thought it would be appropriate to ask
