    Default Parody Law

    Hello Guys N Gals,

I am in a Mass Media Law course, and I was curious if anyone had an idea about what would be a good defense for parody law since alot of us in the Media area have to worry about this and deal with this. I know this breaches alot of copyright law and that the Supreme Court as a basic outlined exceptions for parody law. However a person has to get their parody recongnized by the courts as an actual parody and not as a satire piece. I was curious if anyone had anything on any details regarding what general guidelines should be followed to insure the acceptance of a work as an actual parody.

    Cheers,
    Nate Nesler

    Default Parody and Copyright Law

I think the analysis in this Ninth Circuit case may be helpful. And if not, at least the facts are somewhat interesting.
