Default Entered Legally As a Child and Overstayed

    Hi,
I entered the US legally in 1997 and I was 8 years old. My mom's visa expired that year but we stayed here. Is there any way I could become of legal status in the future? If I end up getting married here, will I still face a 10 year ban? I am 20 now. Thank you.

If you were to marry a citizen you could petition to modify your status on the basis of lawful marriage. Otherwise, odds are you're looking at having to leave the country to gain lawful status, and that will trigger a ten year bar based upon your overstay (more than a year since you turned 18).
