My question involves criminal law for the state of: California
I was convicted of a felony dui and was givin 5 years felony probation and a strike on my record. I have completed all of of my conditions and have a sqeaky clean record befor the conviction. I have not violated probation nor have even been late for an appointment. I am currently unemployed yet have a long work history and a impressive resume but even with that no one seems to want to hire me.. i cant even get to the interview process.. the only thing i can think of is my felony on my record. I have only been on probation for 14 months now and have heard you should atleast wait 18.. my question is what are my chances of getting off in 18 months.. i dont mind being on probation its just purely the record im trying to clean up.. im desperate for work.. I cant afford school and tappin out my credit cards.. Also im trying to move to georgia to take care of my grandparents and get a cheaper education, do my probation terms all stay the same?.. are any added state to state?..
I really need some advice and since i dont have the internet of my own will keep checking back to the site when i go to the library to see if anyone has responded.. so if you have any questions for me it might take me a few days to respond.
Please and thank you for any info.
