    Question Violated Company Policy

I am in the state of Ohio. I had applied for benefits and received them according to Ohio's "just cause" rule. My employer appealled and said I knowingly violated company policy and this constituted misconduct and that I had been previously warned about this.
First, I was never warned, disciplined or told my job was in jeopardy for anything. Second, the company policy was violated, but only in the best interest of the company. My boss knew of this and never said a word about it. Also, I was not the only one. The policy was violated by the entire district so much so that it really wasn't a "policy" that was followed at all. Two bosses knew about it and never disciplined anyone on it, I am sure it was because it really was in the best interest of the company. It was a culture of "do what you gotta do" to get the job done. In fact, the day I was terminated, the policy was being violated at another store.
I don't think that my boss even wanted to fire me, but he had no choice since HR was involved.
I am going to appeal, but do you think I will win based on "just cause"?

We can't say because the "state" makes the decision & we don't know what that will be. Our opinion doesn't count.

All you can do during the appeal is be truthful.
