    Unhappy Manager Shares Private Information

I needed to take time off for a funeral of a parent in another country, so I told my manager in private about it and he allowed me two weeks. (I had asked for 3).
When I got back, I found out that he had told everyone in our team about the reason for my trip. I had not told anyone else at work and had not intended to do so. Therefore I was not pleased about that.
I had only told him about it to get time off quickly and had done so discreetly and privately. Does he have the right to tell others at work this private information when I had not given him permission to do so?
    Thank you.

There is no law that prohibited him from doing so.
