My question involves criminal law for the state of: Georgia
Can a probation officer change the terms of probation?
My son was arrested at school for a fight. Neither boy was hurt, but because it was my son's second fight in 4 years they arrested him. He was 17, but they took him to the adult jail-apparently in GA you are a criminal adult before you can vote about it.
My son was given probation with a stipulation that he have an anger assessment--not treatment, just an assessment. He did so and was found not to have any anger issues.
He does have Asberger's--it is a form of Autism. Now his probation officer says he has to attend an Asberger's support groups as part of his probation.
Can she do that?
