    Unhappy Mom Steals Identity

A few years ago i went to purchase a home and found out that i couldn't because my credit score was too low. This was odd seeing as though I've never even used a credit card. To make a long story short, my mother purchased a number of cards in my name and failed to make payments on them.

Since then she has put them all into debt consolidation and has been making payments on them (or so I thought). As it turns out, one of the credit cards were not included and now I'm being asked to pay it off. Is there anything I can do other than press charges against my mother?

How many years? What state? This is a felony and you should have filed a police report and had her arrested. Otherwise you are out of luck.
