My question involves court procedures for the state of: Oregon
I'm trying to figure out what to do.
I purchased a trailer from someone. They disclosed in e-mail that the unit had no leaks. After picking up the trailer, I found out that they didn't winterize the trailer which caused the water pipes to bust. it also had a propane leak.
I filed a small claims case against them. They decided they wanted a jury trial, so no i have to file a formal complaint. I think they are playing poker with me. They had to pay about $250 to request a jury trial, but get that money back if I don't respond.
I'm being told by lawyers that it could cost upwards of 4k to represent me on this case. If I lose, then it makes this deal that much worse.
Is it easy to file a case pro se?
Does this sound like misrepresentation and or breach of contract?
