I was sharing a room in an apartment with another girl for awhile, who basically had the room to keep her stuff in while she lived with her boyfriend. About 3 months into my stay, she emailed me and said "i do not wish to pay the full amount of rent we agreed on since i never sleep there. i am only paying x much for rent, rather than what we agreed on from now on." Not cool. We're all broke college kids here. So, my boyfriend saved the day and sublet her part of the lease, so she's gone, so I thought.

When the agreements and lease signing were taking place, the two agreed that he would pay her the deposit of xx dollars, and that was that. Off we went to the leasing office in our complex and had him added to the lease and had her taken off. It's about 5 monhts later, and she's now coming back into our lives. Upon moving in, she had to pay her deposit of xx dollars, plus the last month's rent for her share of the rent. She forgot to mention the last month's rent at lease signing, while they were discussing this sublease, and for 5 months after this whole thing had taken place. After negotiating, agreeing, and signing the contract for what my boyfriend was to pay and got him on the lease, she's trying to get more of his money. Is it legal that she's now trying to change the terms of our verbal agreement and contractual agreement (the lease) by now trying to require him to pay this much money, which was never, ever mentioned before?
