Post Can Employer Change the Reason for Termination

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: athens,ga Can a Employer Change The Reason For Termination if your claim determination was denied and you filed an appeal hearing, after the employer has told the claims examiner the reason why the employee was terminated

They can. But it's not likely to do them much good in most cases if they've already told the UI commission something different.

so do you think it will help them if the h.r. manger of the employer told the UI commission the reason for termination was one thing but the manger of the contact center operations told the administrative hearing officer said the reason for termination was something different

Were both reasons reported at the time of the initial claim? Or was one at the inital claim and one later on appeal?

Then it's unlikely that the UI commission will take any notice of the second reason.

The exception would *possibly* be if the second reason was something that didn't come to light until afterwards, but even then it's doubtful.
