My question involves labor and employment law for the state of: Wisconsin
I was terminated from my job. when i asked why all the ONLY thing that i was told was "you are an at will employee". Then they told me that they would not deny my unemployment and to state that i was "laid off" not terminated. The only write up i had in my file was 4 months earlier for not given ample notice for a sick day.
Is this legal? but more importantly; how do i find out WHY i got fired?
