Default Effect of Prior Disability Findings by Other Government Agencies

I was awarded a medical discharge from the Post Office for my disability and for the same disability from the VA as a service connection disability. Will SSDI look at this and say that they will put me down as disabled? I'm 54 and the disability that I'm talking about deals with the lungs.

The prior determinations may help you get approved by the SSA, but they'll make their own determination.
