Shoplifted from WalMart in New Jersey

[i cant believe it]

im 14 and i have shoplifted from wal mart with a friend
i had helped but my friend was the one who actually tried to take the stuff out of the store. the people there caught us and we were brought to the police station. she got a letter with a fine and we both had to sign a paper saying we cant go to the store anymore.
that was it; is this on my permanent records-like if i apply for a job would this be what they can find out and get in the way of me actually getting a job
&& like on job applications do i have to say i was convicted of a crime?
this has been on my mind forever and i really hate this

I doubt it would show up, if you weren't charged. You can have your juvenile record sealed when you turn 18 should you mess up in the future.....I'm not saying you will.
