    Post First Degree Misdemeanor Assault

    My question involves criminal law for the state ofhio

    yes my question is im getting charged with an assault charge because i was at the bar and some drunk guy came after my girlfriend and called her a (bitch) and went after her to do (physical) harm and i pushed him away and he fell and hurt himself but i did it to protect my girlfriend what can they do to me will they continue to go forward with the charges if i go to court to tell them what happened so if you have any information that could help me please tell me thanks

    You're charged with violating ORC 2903.13? If so, which subsection?

    This was your assumption, that the drunk "went after her to do (physical) harm"? He denied that? You were the only one to actually lay hands on another person? When the police interviewed witnesses, what did they say?
