    Default How Do I Prove Residence as a Defense to Identity Theft

    im being accused of id theft and was told it can help if i can prove i was living at a specific address. how can i prove it other than utility bills?

    i paid rent in cash and utility was included

    You would prove it with whatever evidence you have that you were living there. You don't have utility bills. But you lived there, right? You got mail there, right? Maybe you had your checks printed with that address. You followed the law and changed the address on your driver's license to that address, right? You had guests over, right? You had a rental agreement, didn't you?
