The type of case is Child Support. My specific's are not common. The child support calculation worksheet and the proper placement of certain items on it are being disputed. I am most concerned with how I can find case law on the matter. I need to find specific rulings in the appelate court level or above that apply in my situation.
Here are your choices.
You can be specific enough for us to help you or you can ask an attorney to do the research for you.
Try:
http://www.lexisone.com/lx1/caselaw/freecaselaw
http://www.findlaw.com/casecode/
http://www.altlaw.org/
See if those can help.
That does not seem to be be specifically addressed by case law, but facts of income etc. However, case law may offer some insight. Pay a visit to a law library of the law school of a nearby College/University. There they have legal encyclopedia's known as West's Ohio Digests and Ohio Jurisprudence 3rd. Look up any proper heading, child support/children, etc. If you have any problem, ask a librarian to help.
A # of subtopics are available in each category.
Thank you very much Dogmatique and BOR.
Don't forget http://scholar.google.com/ - the search function is nowhere near as good as a boolean search on lexisone, but it's a much more complete database. (Go to advanced search, scroll to the bottom, and selection Ohio case law.)
Note that if you're good with boolean searches, or like the natural language search on LexisOne, they do offer inexpensive short-term subscriptions to a very complete database. (Google Scholar is free.)
