My question involves a traffic citation from the state of: Lakewood, Ohio
Hello,
First off let me say thanks to the creators of this site! Great idea!
Ok here is my issue. Lol
My mother bought a foreclosed duplex last spring for rental income. The property is nice, however the down side is there is no driveway. So in front of the property there is parking on the street for three cars. Usually we never get the spots because neighbors chose to park in those spots even when they have driveway! So it can be a major bummer when my bother and I have to park three houses down and carry drywall to the house and other misc things about 50-70 feet down the street.
Well we had a few good snow storms over the past couple days. So I decided to take my Jeep and leave the truck parked due to poor traction in the snow. Well today I go over to the rental property to try and start the truck and move it. Once I get in I noticed there was a ticket from Lakewood that was written on the 11th for the truck not moving for 24 hours. It was a little upsetting because the ticket was buried under 5 inches on snow and I am sure the officer could have been a little more understanding of the issue. That A. I don’t have a driveway to park that truck and B. The last thing I want to do is drive that thing when the roads are really slick! I feel like he could have just looked up the owner info and called or somehow got a hold of me to ask what the deal is with the truck. Is there a simple way I can contest this ticket? Or would it be much easier to just gripe at city hall and pay the ticket?
Thank you!
Mike
